Hawaii is the best place on the planet. And it’s not (just) because it has beautiful beaches, 75 degree weather every day, and crystal blue oceans. There’re lots of places like that. What makes Hawaii unique is that there really is an aloha spirit that permeates the people and the land – it sounds trite and cliche , but it is very true and very real. You only “get it” if you get it.
I could write a book about my feelings for Hawaii, so let’s just say if you have recently relocated or have orders for Oahu, just consider yourself one of the luckiest people on earth. Yes, it’s far from friends and family, its expensive, and it’s a loooong plane ride, but it is a magical place to live and it will leave its imprint on you for the rest of your life.
